Who Can Claim?

  • You can claim for your first two children.
  • If twins are born first, you can claim for both (maximum two children—no third child allowed).
  • If you have one child first, then twins later, you can claim for all three children (exception allowed).
  • If a child passes away, you can claim for the next child.

New Rule: You can now claim CEA from Nursery, LKG, UKG onwards (earlier it was allowed from Class 1).

✅ Same class can be claimed maximum two times if a child repeats the class.

♿ Special Case: CEA for Handicapped Child (CEAHC)

You need to provide a valid Disability Certificate(min 40%).

The CEA amount is doubled: Up to ₹67,500/- per year.

👉 Ensure that the Disability Certificate is within validity as per latest rules.

When & How to Claim:

1. Claims should be published in DO II only after completion of the academic year:

2. Academic year: 01 April to 31 March.

3. Claim period: From April onwards after the academic session closes.

Can I claim CEA for three children?

✅ Yes, but only if you have one child first and twins later. This is an exception to the two-child rule.
